Since the pandemic, a few ALU LIKE Inc. AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent volunteers in Hawaii created videos to share with their students. To celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, volunteers read and recorded a story about Martin Luther King Jr. to children. They also recorded an art lesson drawing of the Freedom Tree for older children and youths.

Learning about historical figures is just one of the many things our volunteers teach their students. Whether face-to-face, virtually, or via video recording, our volunteers remain dedicated to helping students learn.

Our Foster Grandparents nurture the hearts and minds of our youths. They continuously support the families and communities.
