Kellie Allison

Kellie Allison serves as AmeriCorps’ Director of Accounting and Financial Management Services. She leads the financial reporting, compliance, and oversight of AmeriCorps’ financial operations for grants accounting, trust accounting, travel administration, member payroll, and systems accounting functions to ensure efficiency and transparency.

Allison joined AmeriCorps in 2022 with more than 20 years of financial management, accounting, and operations experience. Before joining AmeriCorps, Allison was an accountant and financial policy analyst at the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller). Previous public sector roles also included serving as an accountant at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and serving as a supervisory accountant at the Defense Logistics Agency. Allison also operated as an assistant controller at Lee Enterprises, leading in the role of utility accountant at Black Hills Corporation and supporting the accounting operations at Whole Foods Market as a staff accountant.

Allison earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Pennsylvania College of Technology. She holds two master's degrees from the National Defense University and Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and a master’s certificate from Georgetown University in Forensic Accounting. She is a certified financial examiner.
