Jake Sgambati

Jake Sgambati is the Deputy Chief Operating Officer at AmeriCorps. He supports the Chief Operating Officer in the support and leadership for agency operations – including financial management, information technology, human resources, grant monitoring, and facilities. In his role he provides advisement and leadership development to support the AmeriCorps mission.

Sgambati joined AmeriCorps in 2015 as the Director of Operations of the AmeriCorps NCCC program. He held several positions in the AmeriCorps NCCC program, including Deputy Director and Acting Director. Prior to joining AmeriCorps, Sgambati had worked at Peace Corps, the Inter-American Foundation, and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art.

Prior to beginning his federal service, Sgambati was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Moldova. While a Peace Corps Volunteer, he supported the development of the agri-business sector as the country gained independence following the fall of the Soviet Union.
